About us

In 1964, at the age of 14, I started working for my brother, as a laborer, after school and on weekends. A wheel barrow of brick or mortar weighed more than I did. Working my way up to brick mason, I learned the fundamentals of producing top quality workmanship. With age came more responsibility of supervising a crew and learning to organize and plan the project’s daily work course.

In 1970, Uncle Sam wanted me for a 2 year stint in the army, which I proudly served mostly in Germany.  Still not much bigger, my backpack weighed more than I did.

After returning from Germany, I continued the profession I had learned to love, being a brick mason. In 1974, I started my own business in Tallulah, La. working on perfecting the craftsmanship of laying patios, building outside fireplaces, full masonry fireplaces, and brick fences. I’ve learned to see that masonry work enhances the beauty of homes everywhere, as well as value.

In 1988, due to the declining economy, I moved my family and business to Montevallo, Al. I built my company up by striving to provide the highest quality of workmanship in all types of masonry and foundation projects.

Now, this 67-year-old, gray-haired man still loves to make an object  of beauty with brick or stone. I’m not even considering retiring, I am too young for that.
